How To remove the "App Search Bar" in Outlook

This morning Outlook updated and I noticed there is a new search bar to search apps, how may I remove this bar?

I do not use apps, do not want to use apps and have no need to search for them.

If this is related to MS Team and conjoining everything, I still want to remove this app search bar in Outlook.

Please help.

    Same issue here... Why do we get these things forced onto us???

    I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused! Many users posted on the Outlook Application Search Fields in Microsoft community site, which appears to be related to the new feature of the version update. To clarify the situation, please provide us with your Outlook version and product details by going to Outlook > File > Office account and share a screenshot of the entire page (Remember to hide personal information). See What version of Outlook do I have?

    For this case, this issue appears to be related to an Office 365 product update that caused this app search box. Recently, more and more users have encountered the same case, which has also been reported on the Microsoft 365 community website.

    Looks like one of the following updates is causing the problem!

    As workaround, you can try the following these steps to resolve this issue as provided in Outlook unexpectedly has an App Search bar above the message list - Microsoft Support:

    1. First, you'll need to close all running Office 365 applications on your PC.
    2. Then, you need to check if there is the correct updated version that is causing this issue. For example: updatetoversion=16.0.17126.20126
    3. Next, you'll need to run CMD as an administrator to completely uninstall the update from your PC. Note that if my script isn't working, you can do further research to find the right command to force the update back. Example: "*C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\OfficeC2RClient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=*16.0.17126.20126

    Hi all

    I have the same issue.

    Microsoft products are becomming worse and worse in relation to meaningless layout changes in almost every release.

    A solution could be to uninstall all Microsoft Office software and install Thunderbird instead of Outlook and LibreOffice to substitute other Office programs :)
