Outlook unexpectedly has an App Search bar above the message list
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
This morning Outlook updated and I noticed there is a new search bar to search apps, how may I remove this bar?
I do not use apps, do not want to use apps and have no need to search for them.
If this is related to MS Team and conjoining everything, I still want to remove this app search bar in Outlook.
Please help.
Thank you!

Try updating your Office installation (File > Account > Update Options > Update Now).
The bug should be fixed; see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/outlook-unexpectedly-has-an-app-search-bar-above-the-message-list-c1bed629-0d4e-42d4-b66e-877cccb74b47.
I have the same issue. It looks horrible and blocks the other search bar (that I actually use): https://imgur.com/a/QMfr8kR
(Office Professional Plus 2019)
I will never want to search for apps that often that I would like a search bar for it always active on my screen.
The suggested solution (uncheck the box 'offer suggestions as I type') does not solve the issue.
This is exactly the problem. Through the new app box the email search box is blocked, which is extremely annoying.
I hope there is a solution, because the app search box covers my email search box and I am constantly using the email search box.
