This morning Outlook updated and I noticed there is a new search bar to search apps, how may I remove this bar?

I do not use apps, do not want to use apps and have no need to search for them.

If this is related to MS Team and conjoining everything, I still want to remove this app search bar in Outlook.

Please help.

Thank you!

Why do we have to wait 9 days for an update? Work around 1is a train-wreck, and workaround 2 is useless for me as I am not using 365. Shame on MS!

    Dear JoJoExp,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, I understand that you have a query "How To remove the "App Search Bar" in Outlook." Before we proceed, we need more detailed information about the situation you are experiencing.

Please help us in isolating the issue by providing the following information:

    1. What version of Outlook are you using? See What version of Outlook do I have? (microsoft.com). Could you please provide screenshot for the Product information page.
    2. Have you tried opening Outlook and click on the "File" tab in the top left corner > Click on "Options" in the left-hand menu > In the Outlook Options window, click on "Search" in the left-hand menu > Under the "Sources" section, uncheck the box next to all folders, and remain with outlook only > Under the "Results" section, uncheck the box next to "Show results as I type" > Click on "OK" to save your changes? This should remove the app search bar from your Outlook interface.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please let me know.
