Please see the My Day in ToDo:

Now in outlook it is like this:

I also Tried the web version:

Would be really useful for this to flow through and I think it should.

Same issue for me. Serious flaw in the functionality of Planner and Outlook.

The issue is still there. Has anyone found a solution? The workflow from having a team planner and having tasks assigned to me - then being able to pull up the side panel in outlook where I view my Calendar and drop tasks into my calendar directly is what I want- but my planner tasks don't show up in my side panel.

Still doesn't work so I did a workaround with Microsoft Power Automate.

First, create a new task list in your To Do app, which you will be showing in the My Day Column in Outlook Calendar (I called mine "My Tasks")

Go to Power Automate and Create a flow and select "Planner - When a task is assigned to me" as trigger (you will recognize the Microsoft Planner icon).

As next action search for "To Do" and select (in show more) "Add a to do".

Choose your To Do List (My Tasks) and set the title as dynamic variable by clicking on the flash icon - Use "Title" from the drop down, which then automatically uses the title of the task.

You can set how often the flow should check for new items by clicking on the trigger (When a task is assigned to me).

    Save and test your flow.

Make sure you connected Planner and To Do in the Connections section of Power Automate to allow the apps to talk to each other.

    Hope this helps!

I appreciate you sharing these instructions - I also have done this - the issue is it does not sync. So if a team member assigns me a task on Planner - then I have power automate send that task to my ToDo when I check it off on ToDo it does not check it off in planner (nor does it have all of the content that is on planner - like attachments, tags etc).
