I am trying to copy and paste from one email to another and outlook will not keep the format. This is the new outlook app so there is no File tab like suggested in every other answer.

I have the same issue but with e-mail signatures, just as Janice Manikowski mentioned.

It is not possible to paste a new e-mail signature and keep formatting, which is very annoying. And of course I cannot go back to the older version of Outlook where it was possible.

This is a very basic functionality and I'm surprised that Microsoft would not include it. Another case of Microsoft updating their product and removing basic functionalities...

Now it is not possible for me to set up my e-mail signature and there is no workaround for it...

It has been over 6 months and @Microsoft still have not introduced a solution or even made a comment...to be honest...this is no longer disappointing but actually disrespectful to the user.

I tried all of these solutions and none of them work for me. Beyond frustrating. Seriously Microsoft, richest company in the word can't get one of the most used features in the world to work. Insane.

The little CTRL button works when you go to paste something in an email message. However, it does not work for an email signature. When trying to update email signatures for an entire company, this is going to be a pain.

I love that this works for you but for me I only get 90% of the way there. Most of the formatting is there after the paste but the font is different, the font size is different, some font colors are different, column spacing is different. None of this happens with the copy/paste in the old Outlook.

Wish the solution was complete but IT IS NOT.

I copy my email, and when I go to paste, I hold control and click the paste button on the top row. It pastes with formatting and I can change the needed items in the email without losing the formatting.
