I am trying to copy and paste from one email to another and outlook will not keep the format. This is the new outlook app so there is no File tab like suggested in every other answer.

    Answer!

This was so frustrating but I found the answer.

    1. On the top right corner, click the Gear Setting Icon.
    2. On the left, click Mail, then Compose and Reply.
    3. Make sure "Cut, copy and paste" is set to "Keep source formatting".

Close and it works like you expected.

If you can't get that to work. Put your work into Word, then highlight all of it, click and hold and drag it onto your outlook email. For me, it pasted it with all the formatting and colors.

Same issue here. I had been copying stuff from SSMS and pasting into emails which preserved the color-coding, typeface, etc. but now there's seemingly no way to do that and it's a major annoyance.
