New Outlook APP Does not keep formatting when copy and pasting into another email

I am trying to copy and paste from one email to another and outlook will not keep the format. This is the new outlook app so there is no File tab like suggested in every other answer.

    I've found (another) workaround for this problem. If (like me) you have one or more template-styled emails you keep in a folder so you can reuse them often, and you've found the copy/paste function has suddenly stopped carrying all the formatting from the original "template" email, follow these steps:

    1. Right click on your template (original) email.
    2. Select "Copy to Folder" and select your Drafts folder.
    3. Open your Drafts folder, locate the new copy and edit it.

    In this manner, you can reuse a template-styled email and retain all the formatting, including all recipients you may have added to the To, CC, or BCC fields.

    You don't need to paste! Go to your Sent Items find the message you sent (or the message you received) and "Forward" so you have a new Draft sitting in Drafts then start from *that* draft -- this is not a copy & paste maneuver! The formatting & content should already be sitting there in your new email.

    Maybe my description isn't clear

I understand that you are experiencing an issue with the formatting when copying and pasting from one email to another in the new Outlook app for Windows. After testing from my end using "Ctrl+C" and "Ctrl+V" shortcut in New outlook, i am not facing the same issue.

    New outlook works as outlook on the web so there is not File option in new outlook.

    However, to better understand the problem and provide a solution, we need more details from you, please provide us with the following information. Thank you. 1-Please may I know which specific setting via File in classic outlook are you referring to? if it is possible give me all the steps 2-Please can you use "Ctrl+C" and "Ctrl+V" shortcut in New Outlook, to check if this will paste the content with the original formatting.

    3- you can try using the "Paste Special" option. To do this, right-click where you want to paste the content, select "Paste Special", and then choose "HTML Format" or "Rich Text Format" depending on the content you are pasting.

    4-Try to copy past first in notebook and make a change then copy and pasted in your new emails and check the issue
