How can I mount a data file (pst) in new outlook. In the classic version this is doable through the File menu which is not available in new outlook.

Need to create a pst file and upload a previously created pst file into outlook. This was an effortless exercise in classic outlook with readily available option in File menu. How do I get to that functionality in the new outlook.

So I'm meant to import 15 years worth of emails totalling 70GB, back into an OST file. What a ludicrous idea. I have annual PSTs to easily manage my emails as we are only allowed 6 months online in exchange. If I import, the chances are they will all disappear.

Is there a plan to revert to the sensible method of email management we have all been used to for years?

I'm adding on. I've used a pst file for years, keeping information from multiple email accounts in one central place. I just got a new computer and am find out the "new" Outlook is horrible for multiple reasons, but especially for the pst.

I've tried to set up old Outlook by switching. No surprise, MS didn't transfer my email account settings so I had to set them up a again. Got the pst linked, but now the old version doesn't run.

I wish there was a better alternative, MS is not checking with their customers before making extremely unprofessional changes.

I have the same problem. I am unable to open old .pst files, there is no "File" menu in New Outlook, and the option to revert to Old Outlook has vanished. This is an absolutely unacceptable situation. Microsoft has an utterly essential obligation to remedy the problem.
