Need to create a pst file and upload a previously created pst file into outlook. This was an effortless exercise in classic outlook with readily available option in File menu. How do I get to that functionality in the new outlook.

No, and given how utterly unresponsive MS has been regarding this ridiculous functionality failure, I am not holding my breath.
No, I'm still waiting for this issue to be addressed as it is now 10 months since I first raised this issue.
Morning Andrew,
I agree with your statement. I have the same issue as documented. I was forced to use the NEW Outlook as Outlook 2016 would not authenticate using my email ******@Hotmail.com. Attached to my mailbox were PST files totalling around 500GB which theres PST files were located as files on my PC. Now using the NEW Outlook, I can no longer import these files as NEW Outlook does not provide this facility.
I have been contacting MS Support since September 2024, to find out if they have a found a fix for the x2 issues I have reported.
These changes they have made have been implemented without any alternative for the end user. I do not know if MS will make any adjustment to there product. This purely is a direction MS is taking using OFFICE 365 and OneDrive. MS do not consider users. All they are interested in is to ensure WE pay and comply.
