How can I mount a data file (pst) in new outlook. In the classic version this is doable through the File menu which is not available in new outlook.

Need to create a pst file and upload a previously created pst file into outlook. This was an effortless exercise in classic outlook with readily available option in File menu. How do I get to that functionality in the new outlook.

I've found one work-around to the pst file issue. Of course I hope M$ ultimately has this feature in the "New Outlook". 2025 maybe?

I went ahead and setup New Outlook and migrated settings. Once I could see which account(s) migrated (In this case my Exchange account and a Gmail account) I selected and moved the subfolders of greatest interest from the various pst files created over years and put them as subfolders under the gmail account which had migrated. This doesn't work so well if you have a ton of different pst files with subfolders, but by moving those of greatest interest under the inbox of the gmail account, the emails "migrated" and populated the folders in New Outlook.

It's a temporary fix until M$ does the necessary.

I'm having the same problem. I lost access to my account today, and it turns out it was just due to the new Outlook. I just switched back to the classic Outlook, and all works well. Also, I can export PST files again.

The new outlook sucked. I held my nose for nearly a year, but it just doesn't work well.

To add PST on the new Outlook version

    1. Settings
    2. General
    3. Outlook Data Files
    4. Add file

Then you are good to go.

    Hello,

Thanks, they are being showed for a while in the folders. However, even having Outlook 365 is saying that we do not have it...

    Still non functional...

**Note:**Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks data saved in .pst files will not be accessible in this version. Future releases of new Outlook will expand the support for .pst file capabilities.

IT is the contacts I need access to, so... I'll wait.
