How can I mount a data file (pst) in new outlook. In the classic version this is doable through the File menu which is not available in new outlook.

Need to create a pst file and upload a previously created pst file into outlook. This was an effortless exercise in classic outlook with readily available option in File menu. How do I get to that functionality in the new outlook.

Look MS have removed the feature from the NEW OUTLOOK, which is a complete load of garbage.

    I have TWO issues :

    1. I have several PST files on my machine and I cannot attach them to the NEW OUTLOOK.
    2. My Outlook 2016 does not allow authentication (TO THE SERVER), using my HOTMAIL email account.

I am stuck using NEW OUTLOOK on my laptop and can ACHIEVE messages to PST FILES (FOLDERS) I have created.

The people at MS that dream up this stuff are a bunch of buffons.

I have sent repeated emails to MS support and all I get back is a heap of unwanted information that does not provide me with a resolution.

I hear you! What a crock! I have loads of MS Stock I purchased in 1996- This uncaring alteration they made with Outlook and Office in general makes me want to sell all my shares. I've lost trust (what little I had) Now gebuine crapware!

I have complete sympathy my friend. I have issue's as I have documented to MS :

    1. My hotmail email account does not authenticate using OUTLOOK 2016, which means that because MS have changed the authentication process to the server my password is rejected. However using a web browser to MS OUTLOOK my password works.

    SO THAT IS ONE ISSUE

    1. I have several PST files that cannot be attached using NEW OUTLOOK. There is NO facility to encompass this feature.

the great minds of this organisation have NOT provided a concise thought process to the PRODUCT they have created to support.

    I am stuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
