How can I mount a data file (pst) in new outlook. In the classic version this is doable through the File menu which is not available in new outlook.

Need to create a pst file and upload a previously created pst file into outlook. This was an effortless exercise in classic outlook with readily available option in File menu. How do I get to that functionality in the new outlook.

I have converted back the the classic and am advising everyone I know not to use the "NEW" outlook. My research says the classic will be usable until 2029 and hopefully by then the bugs will be figured out. Do not understand how microsoft is OK with old functions just don't work in a update, where is the transition? I spent 2 weeks trying to figure out my issue and the work arounds I did find came from me, not them and then they stopped to, everything I did, just disappeared. Wish I could go back to OS. Did not have these issues.

Hi there, since the posts are from 03-2024 Is there any roadmap when the issue will be resolved in the new outlook client?

    Regards B.

Why does there need to be a road map to add functionality that has always been in Outlook. Its a fundamental feature. Would they release a new version of Word or Excel that couldn't open docx and xlsx files. No they wouldn't so why do it with Outlook.

Look MS have removed the feature from the NEW OUTLOOK, which is a complete load of garbage.

    I have TWO issues :

    1. I have several PST files on my machine and I cannot attach them to the NEW OUTLOOK.
    2. My Outlook 2016 does not allow authentication (TO THE SERVER), using my HOTMAIL email account.

I am stuck using NEW OUTLOOK on my laptop and can ACHIEVE messages to PST FILES (FOLDERS) I have created.

The people at MS that dream up this stuff are a bunch of buffons.

I have sent repeated emails to MS support and all I get back is a heap of unwanted information that does not provide me with a resolution.
