How can I mount a data file (pst) in new outlook. In the classic version this is doable through the File menu which is not available in new outlook.

Need to create a pst file and upload a previously created pst file into outlook. This was an effortless exercise in classic outlook with readily available option in File menu. How do I get to that functionality in the new outlook.

Is there another way to access and use the PST files.

For some reason unknown to me I cant even open the old outlook any longer after start using the new outlook.

In the old outlook was constantly asking my login details of my organization, the new one works fine except the PST issue.

How can Microsoft miss the PST files it is critical for most users with huge emails and the legal requirement to archive communications.

    OUTLOOK *CLASSIC* CHANGED!

I've complained here before, when I discovered the "New" Outlook does not support PST files. I was told, here, to continue using the old Outlook (now called "Classic Outlook"?), so I did. Today, I saw there was a change in the Home ribbon (Deleting an email now requires two clicks). I looked for more changes and discovered the ability to CREATE new PST files has been removed.

I am very upset about this. I want this feature back! It is not enough to only provide a means of opening old PST files. I want the option to continue creating new PST files as I need them. Why should I trust MS to maintain my emails forever? A simple change in policy on their part could erase MY personal property at any time. This is not right.

I'm currently running Outlook Classic Desktop version 2409

I very much can still create new .PST files. From the main Outlook window, New Items > More Items > Outlook Data File:

Also, from File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Data Files > Add

So, the ability to create new .PST files is still there.
