How can I mount a data file (pst) in new outlook. In the classic version this is doable through the File menu which is not available in new outlook.

Need to create a pst file and upload a previously created pst file into outlook. This was an effortless exercise in classic outlook with readily available option in File menu. How do I get to that functionality in the new outlook.

I switched to New Outlook because I got a month trial of Copilot and the icon didn't appear in Outlook (it does appear in other 365 apps, though) and I was hoping the "new" Outlook would be more attuned to copilot.

As it happens, it not only doesn't mesh with copilot, it also doesn't access my PST archive and it won't access it in the near future.
Since I was interested in copilot for email management (including the archives) and it doesn't appear to be easily doable, I'm now dumping the "new" Outlook and cancelling the Copilot trial as they are both useless

Per this document, PSTs are not supported in the preview but will be coming soon.

This is a year (or even more) old and I'm wondering what "*Coming soon" means for Microsoft

Thank you for the info! Great news as a first step, at least. The ability to continue making .pst's would be helpful.

    You mention "making PST".

As people mentioned earlier in this discussion, it might be "Read-Only" in the March 2025 version.
