How can I mount a data file (pst) in new outlook. In the classic version this is doable through the File menu which is not available in new outlook.

Totally agree. This has f***ed up my life for a month now and I still can’t replicate my server email access settings. But that’s another story.

As to MS's ignorance of this issue, or would it be their dismissive attitude to their customers, I am astounded that the .pst issue should even exist. With all the noise around this issue, and a year of (with respect) MS experts trying to help solve the problem, how is it possible for it not to have reached the C suite?

Are the top brass so insulated from reality that they don’t hear the noise?

PST files have been a fundamental part of Outlook as far back as I can remember, yet here we are with a road map of development that shows PST management in any form as far away as October 2025.

How can you release a product that completely dismisses a fundamental function. Would you be releasing Word that cannot open .DOC files or Excel that could not open .XLS files, no, so why Outlook.

This has caused so many issues from a support point of view as clients willingly upgrade then cannot find the emails they previously had access to. You are then told to downgrade to classic to regain access to PST files, but the link itself is wrong as it takes you to a download only to be told classic is already installed. It is a total 'expletive' show from Microsoft.

Thanks. It's interesting to me that a lot, if not most (didn't open each and every work item) of these were "added to the roadmap" one week ago, 3/18/25. Could be a weird issue of time/date stamping, but it certainly gives the appearance that MS has been ignoring this issue long after they claimed it would be available.

This dribs and drabs release model works fine for basement programmers putting games for mobile devices up on Apple Store or Google Play, but for actual business systems it is a lousy way to manage the products, IMO. Just guessing, but I think there are a lot of people who have posted to this forum that feel the same way.
