How can I mount a data file (pst) in new outlook. In the classic version this is doable through the File menu which is not available in new outlook.

Need to create a pst file and upload a previously created pst file into outlook. This was an effortless exercise in classic outlook with readily available option in File menu. How do I get to that functionality in the new outlook.

The New Outlook has caused us to loose the File tab and then the option to have .pst files in Outlook. This is extremely problematic. I work for a large City and we are required to keep all emails in specific .pst files for every single project. We also need to access the past projects and those emails sometimes many years in the past.

I hope that someone is trying to work on a solution because this is very bad not having this ability.

I am very frustrated with the current changes to outlook. It has become on useable for tracking emails for each of my many projects that could have well over a 1,000 emails or more per project.

For Classic Desktop, File > Open and Export > Outlook Data File. I have never seen Settings > General > Outlook Data File in any version of Outlook New.

The latest 365 update bricked moving pst files in Classic Outlook and New Outlook (Outlook Version 1.2024.1204.300 (Production). Microsoft 365 version 2410 build 18129.20200) does not have the "Outlook Data File" option listed under Settings -> General. Any ideas?
