How can I mount a data file (pst) in new outlook. In the classic version this is doable through the File menu which is not available in new outlook.

Need to create a pst file and upload a previously created pst file into outlook. This was an effortless exercise in classic outlook with readily available option in File menu. How do I get to that functionality in the new outlook.

Hi MS Moderator > I still use Win10. And I still use PC Outlook as well as web-based Outlook.

To backup emails I have used the PST file to save emails in MONTH folders.

It was a simple drag-drop operation to move live emails to PST file. These PST files are stored on PC drive. NOT in the Cloud or other datacentre vault.

Given the feedback received from MS/Outlook customers, please explain when this new Outlook will feature an easy to use and accessible PST function?

And will this new Outlook be able to read PST files given I reference past business emails in PST??

    Thanks

    Max

I came to this thread because of THIS specific comment. I have a discovery search export that I cannot open. Did you make any progress on viewing the content?

To everyone who said to go back to the old outlook... I'm here because my old outlook was very old. microsoft decided to force 2 factor on everyone's account, but the old outlook i used really doesn't work with 2fa. I spent hours creating and recreating static application passwords in the 2fa security page for a year before it stopped working altogether.

i am a fan of 2fa and use it everywhere. But microsoft needs to support basic features in current products if they are going to herd everyone to them.

You have to change to "old outlook". If it's not loaded on your system, hopefully you can download it from microsoft. "new outlook" deleted my old outlook file (with no notification) when I selected it so I had to download it. At the time the "revert to old" button did not work. I don't know if they've fixed that. Please complain to microsoft - maybe if enough of us do they will reconsider.

    ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Then how the hell are we supposed to transfer our PST files over to the new Surface Pro 11 we just bought?
