My email does not have the toggle option in the top right corner to get the classic outlook back. There is no longer the old outlook in the store either. I have also tried the steps in registry editor and that didn’t work out either.

When I to the Registry Editor and follow your instructions, in step 3 there are no preferences under Outlook.

    1. Navigate to the following path: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preferences

So now what do I do. I am completely frustrated. Spent time reinstalling Microsoft 365 and still cannot get to the Classic Outlook

    What should I do?

Installing Outlook New has no effect on Outlook Classic, they will co-exist and run at the same time. No O365/M365 updates remove Classic Outlook, if you had it, it should still be there. Do you find OUTLOOK.EXE with the rest of the M365 apps Word.exe, Excel.exe, etc.) under this path?

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16

Do you have both icons in your Start menu?

I do not have both icons - it has switched to new without my request, now I cannot switch back automatically.

I am installing the Outlook for windows from the above link, hopefully that will fix it.
