My email does not have the toggle option in the top right corner to get the classic outlook back. There is no longer the old outlook in the store either. I have also tried the steps in registry editor and that didn’t work out either.

Outlook | Windows | New Outlook for Windows | For home

I really don't like the new version of outlook.

Please can you get ALL the removed functionality back

Please also make it so copilot doesn't keep appearing at the beginning of where I'm working - if I want to use copilot I'll look for it.

@d0301, you say "I don't want to mess up my outlook" but the fact is, you aren't using Outlook, at least not the one you knew and loved and were used to. As several Microsoft staff people have said, what they mistakenly chose to call "new Outlook" is not a more recent version of the Outlook you've been using. It's a completely new, dumbed down email program for what they think will be used by people too dumb to use a regular email program. None of us understands why Microsoft did this naming fiasco. So you will not be messing up your "Outlook", you will be installing the same version of Outlook that you have grown used to, and using that instead of the other crippled, badly-named email program that you have now. So what you want to do is exactly what Hal said to do. Don't worry. I did it and it fixed the situation and you will not have to use that dumb email program that they forced upon you any longer. Just do it, there's no excuse not to and you will be happier in the end.

I have found, albeit temporary work around for this as I HATE the un user friendly Outlook (New)!

Try this and let me know if it works for you, Right click on the "start", click with the left mouse, installed apps, scroll down to Microsoft 365-en-us. Click on the "three dots" to the right and select "modify". Click on "yes" and then click on "repair".

This only temporarily works for me, however, at least you can get back to the outlook Classic that we prefer.

What a nightmare! Why, Microsoft, are you forcing us to use something that we don't want! Aren't you even listening to your consumers?

Thank you! I got it back. I wish Microsoft wasn't so dictatorial about what's "best" for me.

    I appreciate the help. 😊

The toggle to Classic Outlook has been moved to Outlook New's Help menu:

Outlook New has no effect on Outlook Classic, both will coexist and run at the same time; I have it set up in this fashion on the computer I'm using to post this comment. If Outlook Classic seems to have disappeared, this Support article might help:

You can't open classic Outlook on a new Windows PC - Microsoft Support
