Outlook emails not deliverable to yahoo and aol

i was able to access WIX and the DNS modification page. when I attempt to copy and past the following text in the value:

v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all

I get an exclamation mark saying that I need to enter a valid ipv4 address or range.

what am I doing wrong?

My guess is you weren't doing a TXT record and rather you were trying to create an "A" record or one of the other DNS records. You don't want to change the nameservers, you don't want to change any other records.

First off - I know nothing about nothing and wont pretend to know anything :)

I seen your post so I used icann, mxtools, easydmarc to do a little investigating.

(I am NOT the admin for our company - So, I have no access to the 365 admin portal. We farm it out to 1 guy who has had a ticket started but NO call back from Microsoft. Our "website" setup was handled by another guy. I am just the Ecommerce admin "guy".

Mail has not been an issue for 6+ years.. Starting 1.5 weeks ago we started to get more spam emails and I eventually noticed the E-mail sending issue.

(Microsoft take more than a personal hit in the latest personal email hack being reported in the news?)

We use NO exchange server on-site. It should all be Office 365 Business cloud with several users having the actual Outlook program on their pc's.

We have an Ecommerce website and I am running our ".com" address in the above online testing programs.

All of the above tools are showing our SPF record as having an "invalid syntax error". It's weird.. the TXT record you show is like ours = However, ours looks like ****outlook.co m -all.

Notice the space? .co m

and all the utilities point that out. SPF issue, DMARC policy not enabled, DMARC record not published.

icann advises:

• Nameservers: DNS1.REGISTRAR-SERVERS.COM DNS2.REGISTRAR-SERVERS.COM
• NAMECHEAP = registrar

"A" records.. is the "-" mark correct format as shown below?

That's the first thing that caught my attention. The TXT record I posted does NOT look like yours at all... well perhaps close enough to human eyes but we all know computers won't treat .com and .co m the same way. Correct your SPF record. If you don't have a DMARC, create one too.

Martindale.com is my domain host. I finally convinced them that, as Microsoft told me, the required changed needed to be made on the domain host level - the TXT value was corrected and things work now.

I sent all my research that I obtained using your previous post - to our "guys".. After a little back and forth = the one guy corrected the mistakes = and I can now send to Yahoo.com addresses and Microsoft Outlook is sending delivery receipts!

lookup.icaan = has no errors now :) .. DMARC/SPF/DKIM are all in check now... WooHoo
