I'm using New Outlook for Windows, but can't find a way to save the .ics file from my meeting (event).
How can I do that? or it's not support to do so. Kindly advise.

YES! I have experienced the same thing. And the same is true when I open .ics files that have been sent to me from someone outside of my organization as email attachments. Even if I open the email in the new outlook, if I open the file from my downloads, it will open the old outlook to add the event to my calendar.
My clients are able to open the ics cards I create in the good Outlook.
Thank you for the tips in this thread. I did notice this too, and it sure is frustrating that this feature has been removed!
Another thing, I tried going back to old Outlook, created the ics file there, then attached it to an email in new outlook. When I opened the (created with old outlook) ica file in new outlook, it did open the event invite but in OLD outlook. Has anyone else experienced this? I wouldn´t want my meeting invitees be forced to launch old outlook when they click on my meeting ics file.
Although right clicking on the downloaded file, sharing it and emailing it to myself worked I find this new process to be very convoluted. I used to be able to open the file right from my downloads to add to my calendar. Not a very good change, revert it back to what it was please :)
I agree, this missing feature is needed. I need to copy / paste an ics file to Jira or Slack or anywhere else outside of the Microsoft ecosystem and I can no longer do that basic thing. Same goes for email. I used to be able to right click on an email, hit copy, and paste it to my desktop (or anywhere in any app) and I can no longer do that.
