How to create/save .ics file in New Outlook for Windows

I fixed the problem. I went back to old or classic Outlook! The warning that it will be discontinued soon is no longer there!

I was having issues with new Outlook so I contacted customer service and told them that overall it was an inferior product full of glitches and lacking useful features. He told me that I was still paying for old/classic Outlook so new Outlook would be limited for me. This is something I was not told or would have thought of checking when I was automatically forced to new Outlook. The tech told me I could go back to using Classic and even showed me how to delete my old profiles so I could start again!

I have my categories back, I can mix emails from different accounts in folders, I can import ics files. And it actually sends mail too!

Following this thread as I'm having the same issue; I was using the workaround process of downgrading my outlook, but I don't believe I have the option to revert back to the older version.

Is this considered an issue to the Microsoft Team?

The ability to download a meeting invite as an .ics file is needed urgently. This is so we can upload events to company sharepoint calendars or posted to VivaEngage. Im surprised this feature has been removed...

I just want to reiterate that this is a needed feature like ASAP.
