Outlook PWA, how to change spellcheck back to right click

Auto correct in Word is right click. Outlook and word should be the same. Does not make sense that all MS Office apps do not use same UI.

I 100% agree. There MUST be a way to make the setting consistent across MS platforms. And, the auto fix is rarely correct, requiring the frequent use of the ESC key- which is an unnecessary additional step.

MS, please prioritize updating this capability, along with allowing the calendar to scroll across months, which is the second most frustrating feature of new outlook that has made it impossible to pivot to.

I would just like to join in the chorus of frustration...

I decided to give new Outlook a go and while there are always stumbling blocks with new interfaces I keep thinking no I just need to get used to it... I have also just discovered that synonyms has disappeared from the right click which is another really helpful update. I have to say this is the one thing that will send me back to old style.

Oh and guess what I just found out... In this very box it is right click to fix a spelling mistake, what do you know...

Fail to understand the reasoning except just to annoy people or some dumb idea that Microsoft thinks will differentiate them from others, well you succeeded with that and not for the better.

its known in the trade as user hostile software development. Not a single thought given to the user. its very common in software development. I loath this feature so now use an old version of outlook. it cant be beyond the wit of the **** in IT to sort out a setting so you can choose. Get on with it Microsoft.

After thorough research, testing from my end, and consulting, it’s been concluded that there is no setting in Outlook or Chrome that allows you to change the spellcheck feature back to right-click. This is a design choice made by the Outlook team to improve the user experience. However, you can still access the spellcheck feature by using the keyboard shortcut "F7" or by clicking on the "ABC" icon in the formatting toolbar.

If that is true then the Outlook team failed to understand that eliminating this feature does the opposite of improving the user experience. This was a bad decision. Bring back the right click to correct spelling and grammar.

We are in no need of an apology from them for being "unable to meet" our requirements.
That's not even am apology, as this is not now, nor has it ever been an issue of them being "unable to meet" any requirements.
They are fully capable of correcting this error. They have made a choice to not do it.
If this were an apology, it would read "We apologize that we are unwilling to meet your requirements."
This is not customer service. This is customer indifference, masquerading as care.
The Product Team make a mistake. The responsible adult thing to do would be to admit it, actually apologize, and fix the error.
Every major corporation that forgets who drives features in products, and instead decides to substitute corporate judgement is now largely, or completely a historical footnote.
