I recently started using Outlook PWA with Chrome and the right click spellcheck is disabled, forcing me to use left click to access spellcheck. This is very unintuitive, all applications use right click for spellcheck. I am deeply confused by this interface choice, the right click menu in Outlook is useless now, the only options being copy & paste and emojis for some reason?
Is there a setting in Outlook OR an chrome extension OR an Outlook Add-in that will put my spell check back on the right click where it is expected?

Left click is 100% terrible. I know MS likes to force these UI things on people and ask them to just get used to it, but this is just bad design for anyone with mouse. You are forcing a touch use model on people with mouse, and it is a bad idea.
I agree Left click is really frustrating. Especially if I don't want any or their suggestions. You now have to click to place your cursor, then press Escape to clear the suggestion box then type.
Agree that left click is 100% a step backwards i terms of user experience. Editor often suggests a word or change that is not what I want, but I am unable to actually click on the word to edit to to what I do want because it only brings up the editor box. Every other product, browser, type interface uses right click because it's better.
To those having trouble with this, you can disable editor for spelling and grammar, and this goes away, but you still retain you basic spellcheck. Just do that until they care what their users think.
I never comment on any of these things, but this is so painful and such a bad design decision, you can't even "left-click" into a word that you misspelled to correct, for instance if the correct word is not in the list and you know how to fix it you can't click where the issue is and type, it keeps popping up with the wrong words. You have to delete the word and re-type, very poor slow experience.
Please give an option to choose so I can put spell-check back on the right click.
I had the option of turning on the "New Outlook" and at first thought it was nice. A new look and some features that appeared to be upgrades. However, I quickly realized that autocorrections and the right-click spellcheck are no longer a feature in the version. Ok, let's be up front about this. Without these basic features, this "New Outlook" is a complete disappointment and should be re-labeled as an "Outlook Downgrade". What a disappointment. Fortunately, I can use the toggle in the upper right-hand corner of the application to switch off this terrible version and go back to the old Outlook that actually works. Please consider revising Outlook to include all the base functionality so that we can move forward with what works and experience some of the new stuff at the same time.
