Starting this week, some emails (all of them are sent from internal domain) in Outlook shows yellow envelope icon. Opening and reading this email does not make this icon disappear. The only way to get rid of if it is to reply to the email, then the envelope is replaced with arrow.
Is this some new feature, bug or something is wrong iwth our Exchange server?

From what I gather here, Released: March 2024 Exchange Server Security Updates - Microsoft Community Hub, it should be fixed when Microsoft fixed the March 2024 Security Updates for Exchange.
how will bellowing remove the nuisance yellow envelope?
Should I bellow as in yell or do I need to start a fire and use the bellows (coal) to burn down my computer?
This was caused by the March Security Update (SU) for Exchange which has now been fixed: Released: April 2024 Exchange Server Hotfix Updates - Microsoft Community Hub. It is not related to your installation of Outlook.
"Outlook doesn't display unread envelope icon after installing Microsoft Exchange Server March 2024 S... (Note: the fix resolves this issue for new messages, after April 2024 HU or later is installed)"
Your Exchange administrator (IT person) will need to install this fix.
