Unable to delete emails from outlook mailbox

I have been deleting unnecessary emails from my outlook client application, but recently observed that the emails are not being deleted from the server. My mailbox is 97% full and it is giving warning that I will not be able to send or receive emails once the mailbox is at 99%.

I am trying to delete emails, but they are keep coming back. I tried deleting emails in several ways, but the emails are not getting deleted.

Are you using the new Outlook? If so, Microsoft is still developing it. I found this out after going directly to Support, an Agent took over my PC and set Outlook 365 up for me in Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365).

Microsoft is not advising users of changes to the new Outlook, hence you will have surprise issues.

If you don't have 365, go back to the Classic Outlook, it is stable.
