Unable to delete emails from outlook mailbox

I have been deleting unnecessary emails from my outlook client application, but recently observed that the emails are not being deleted from the server. My mailbox is 97% full and it is giving warning that I will not be able to send or receive emails once the mailbox is at 99%.

I am trying to delete emails, but they are keep coming back. I tried deleting emails in several ways, but the emails are not getting deleted.

Please help me in resolving this issue.

    I am so aggravated. I tried to use Outlook (my first mistake) on my personal laptop with my Gmail account. Synced it ... STUPID MOVE because I have been using the Gmail for 10 years and have .... a ridiculous amount of mail (because who has time to delete stuff all day long).

    I stopped the sync. Deleted the mail. Got a message from the app that it would be gone after 30 days. NOPE. I still have 10 GB of mail that I can't get off my fxg laptop and I cannot get this POS to factory reset.

    I've deleted apps ... tried everything I can think of.

    HELP ME

    I solved it myself by googling Outlook which brought up my whole record of emails under Outlook which was over 39k. I could then delete emails and then I went to my deleted emails and permanently deleted them, otherwise they would stay in my deleted emails for another 30 days...
