Unable to delete emails from outlook mailbox

Why is this whole thread here - "Unable to delete emails" - a pretty BASIC AND IMPORTANT FUNCTION. But Microsoft fails at keeping it working. That this thread is here says A LOT.

It says a lot about the huge issues they have. What a joke. What a bloated mess.

Yes it is a bloated mess - they cannot keep the basic / most important functions working. I am logged in to my account. I can delete emails one by one. If I mark all and click delete all in a search, it will go through, but the emails are still there ----- a complete failure by Microsoft as usual. The basics will not work. But they focus on trying to spy on you / to make the user experience worse. What a complete failure.

Your Reply is a Little DRY. You say , Do This Then This Then This, As If We are All Programmers or Something! Most people dont know how to do those things you mentioned. An Explanation Of HOW TO DO EACH, Would Go a Long Way. Thanks.

I am also having the same difficulties. Very strange this is happening to several people 🤔 definitely makes you think what have they done.

What is "Cached Exchange Mode," and how do you check for that? If I don't understand why I can't simply click on a message, then click on a trash-can icon, then see the message disappear, I certainly don't understand what Cached Exchange Mode mean, not to mention how to check for it.

I am using the ap on my phone. It worked last week, but not now. I do not have an administrator, and I have not changed any settings.
