I'm not sure how long this has been happening, but does anyone know how to stop this from happening? I end up double checking my actual Sent folder to be sure my new/response emails did get sent, and not hung up in Draft folder.

None of what you stated. I have a delay, and it was working. Second time this has happened. Now emails in drafts state the time they should send, though they don't send.
It's mostly because the new Outlook is awful.

Angelina, I am having similar problem with sending emails. I have just started to use the OUTLOOK (New) APP on my PC. After I SEND an email it goes to the DRAFT section where it stays. Sometimes it will then disappear - a check of my SENT items shows it has now been sent - however it can stay in the DRAFT section for a day or more. At the moment I have an email sitting in the DRAFT section and it will not go. I have been through SETTINGS, and as you mentioned above, there is no facility to alter this within the APP SETTINGS for PC.
If I were to access my account through the browser, and change the setting there, will this carry through to the APP on my PC?

I'm another sufferer of this infliction. I updated to the new version of Outlook after having a separate issue with the old version which was fixed, but now I have a new [Draft] problem.
Apart from copying sent items into the Draft folder, when I move sent items into my project folder, it will sometimes change them to [Draft] - maybe this occurs when there is also a copy in the Draft folder.
As others have said, this is very confusing as to whether emails have been sent or not. I have looked at the possible solutions mentioned, but none have resolved the issue.
Meanwhile I have reverted to the old version of Outlook and back to the old problem (but that's another story).
