Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
EDIT (AUGUST 9, 2024): I HAVE NOW GIVEN UP COMPLETELY ON EVER USING MICROSOFT'S OUTLOOK CLIENT FOR EMAIL. AFTER SEVERAL TICKETS WITH THEM THROUGH THEIR ON-LINE HELP WITHIN THE APP AND REPEATED RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THEM TO DO THE SAME DAMN THING OVER AND OVER WITH ABSOLUTELY NO SUCCESS AND THE FACT THAT THEY DO NOT FIX IT AND THIS THREAD CONTINUES TO LET THEM KNOW THEIR PRODUCT SUCKS, I'M DONE WITH IT. I WILL USE MY PRIMARY EMAIL THROUGH THEIR WEBMAIL EVEN THOUGH I'M NOT THAT FOND OF USING WEBMAIL, BUT I AM DONE, DONE, DONE WITH MICROSUCKS. I WILL NEVER, EVER BUY THEIR 365 PROGRAM SUBSCRIPTION JUST TO USE INCOMPETENT CUSTOMER SERVICE IN A REALTIME FORMAT OR FOR ACCESS TO WORD AND EXCEL. I'M RETIRED AND I DON'T NEED THEIR C.R.A.P.
One of the things Microsoft NON-support tells people to do is to remove their account, close the program, wait 15 minutes, then try to re-add the account and be sure to use Passwords and server protocols for SMTP and IMAP in the advanced settings. Marc evidently discovered something with the alpha-numeric specifics for his server and found some success. For me... NEW OUTLOOK still is non-functional despite months of indirect processing of customer service tickets. I've removed and readded my account several times and I've now told Microsoft to stuff it. The definition of STUPIDITY is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
