How do you revert to the old one?
Hi All,
As of about 8:00pm (EST) on 3/1/24 I sent a test to my wifes email from the NEW outlook and it went through. I sent myself an email and it took about 5 minutes or so to go through. email to ones self take much longer but neither email got bounced back. My wife got the one I sent to her email right away. The one I sent to myself I got right away in gmail but as I mentioned about 5 minutes to get it from Outlook.
I will test again tomorrow to make sure it still works but this may be a good sign.
I'll look into submitting on HELP part of outlook.
I actually spoke to a live person. We worked together to figure out that it was the NEW Outlook program on the computer that is the issue. Once we installed the older version it worked. She asked that I submit the information on the HELP part of the actually outlook program so that their engineers will be aware. Maybe everyone should do that too along with the work around solution of using the old version of the program.
The only way I've been monitoring it is sending my self an email every morning in the new version and see if it gets bounced back. I also go to check for updates in Outlook and see if a new version has been posted. Cindy in this group actually got MS on the phone and told them the app was not working. They said to her from what I know is that they are aware of the issue and working on it. Take that with a grain of salt for what its worth for them to get a patch out. No way of really knowing how long this will take. All I know is it SUCKS!! You can use the classic version or online version but I'm not a fan of either. Search and calendar import didn't seem to work onn classic version for me so went with apple mail as a stop gap meassue. Not grazy about Apple mail but will work for now.
