Google calendar not showing up in outlook even though it is showing as connected under 'settings>accounts'

Yesterday, my google calendar stopped being visable on my outlook calendar. It has worked for years and all of a sudden it's not. outlook is showing that the calendar associated with my gmail account is connected, but I am unable to view it. I have removed and readded my gmail twice and have tried several workarounds I have found online to no avail. I use both calendars for appointments and it's absolutely devastating to have this issue. My outlook email address is associated with work and my gmail is a personal email. This issue persists on both my desktop and Surface Pro. Can someone tell me how to git this resolved?

Perhaps Microsoft is making things difficult because Google is a major competitor? Just stating what may be obvious to me.

I have the same issue with both Google and Zoom invitations.

They come in what appears to be coding language. When I go to my host and view it there they look completely normal. It's on both my laptop and my desktop in Outlook. The problem is specific to Outlook. It's very frustrating. I've tried all settings. The only solution is to go to my web host to view the email to be able to join the meeting.

I never had this issue with the previous version of Outlook, but ever since I transitioned to the "New" Outlook, I haven't been able to sync my personal Google calendar. I followed the steps I used before, but no events from my Google calendar appear. The solution from the original post is not possible because as of today, there is not an "account" tab in settings/calendar.

It looks like others have had this issue for up to 6 months. Is it safe to say Microsoft is not going to fix this?

Hi all - I just got this working. If you're using Chrome, it appears to maybe be related to your Chrome Profile. I have 2; one personal where it was fine, one for work where Google Calendar wasn't showing correctly.

I cleared the browsing data (Hamburger/3dots menu, Clear Browsing Data), all the outlook specific site settings, cookies and cache in my work Chrome profile, closed Chrome completely, then reopened a Chrome session in my work profile and browsed to Outlook again - it's now showing my google calendar as expected.

For what it's worth I did this on my macbook since it was the only one with this issue. When I checked back on one of my windows machines, there was an error accessing my google account in my work profile Outlook. I had to 'repair' the connection and 'reconnect' by following the prompts but it all came back fine.

I also use PWA on all three of my machines (2 x windows and 1 x macbook) and it's working fine in all three now, both in the web version and PWA.

If you're using Edge, it's worth a shot to do the same thing there but I haven't experienced the issue there so I can't test it.

EDIT: This fix may be temporary - it's still working in my PWA but when I browsed to it again in a normal window in my work Chrome profile, google calendar was broken again.

I was experiencing this but then I did the following and it was fixed:

    (1) delete the google ics calendar in Outlook

    (2) reset the secret ics address in your google calendar (calendar.google.com)

    (3) load new google ics calendar url into Outlook

    (4) sync all Outlook calendar folders

Seems like something was stuck with the old url. I'm not sure if it will stop updating again like the previous one. Curious if this helps.

    Cheers,

    unfazed
