Google calendar not showing up in outlook even though it is showing as connected under 'settings>accounts'

Yesterday, my google calendar stopped being visable on my outlook calendar. It has worked for years and all of a sudden it's not. outlook is showing that the calendar associated with my gmail account is connected, but I am unable to view it. I have removed and readded my gmail twice and have tried several workarounds I have found online to no avail. I use both calendars for appointments and it's absolutely devastating to have this issue. My outlook email address is associated with work and my gmail is a personal email. This issue persists on both my desktop and Surface Pro. Can someone tell me how to git this resolved?

Has anyone considered the possibility that something changes on Google's end, and not Microsoft's?

Even if this is the case, and to be fair there's a reasonable chance that it is, it would still be on Microsoft to adjust how they are connecting to be in-line with any changes Google made. Unless Google completely shut this type of access down, it'll be on Microsoft to resolve.

If it were on Google's side, would that explain why the Google calendar events still show up on mobile platforms but not desktop or browser versions of Outlook? I have to believe this is somehow tied to the implementations of browser and desktop Outlook.
