Calendar Sync of Office 365 calendar to Tripit

Hello

I have been using Tripit for years and it has successfully sync'ed with my Outlook Calendar. Today, I was unable to add the updated URL for the tripit calendar feed to my Microsoft 365 Outlook calendar. When I tried to add the URL under "add calendar/from internet" by pasting in the URL, I get an Microsoft error message that something went wrong. This did not happen previously.

    Hello, Keith.

    As mentioned by Kris "I'm on the "New" outlook (v 1.2024.508.600) and the fix listed by Orange fox doesn't apply." There's no File tab in the new Outlook to begin with. Have you found the same settings on the New Outlook? I tried a lot and could not.

    On the other hand, "Google work around" worked for me.

    I'm using 1.2024.516.100 version.

    I am using version 2407 of Outlook and the fix works great

    You need to click on the second tab (mine is in French but it says something like "data files"

    It is very frustrating that the only way to resolve this solution seems to be go into Google software to make a bridge or disable the new features in this deployed software to make an already functioning feature work again.

    While disabling the new shared calendar settings does seem to work to get the Calendar loaded it doesn't fully solve the problem as:

    1 - new features are lost as a result

    2 - in this "solution" the calendar is still an external calendar to the user's primary calendar and cannot be integrated into the primary calendar - this prevents further sharing and distribution throughout the team and seems to prevent an integrated division travel calendar which is what we had before.

    Overall this is bad policy, bad software testing and rollout, bad response and bad workaround.

    Thanks for posting this Orange Fox. Has anyone had success doing this on Outlook for Mac? I cannot find this setting anywhere on either the desktop app or on the web.

    hi- I have it working on my Mac. but I have to set it up on the online version of Outlook O365. once added to the web version, it shows fine on my desktop app - and interestingly it appears on my phone automatically through my exchange account.

    I've tried importing the calendar feed URL on the web Outlook (Add Calendar --> Subscribe from web) and get an error message: "Couldn't import calendar. Try again later." Did you do something different? Or are you able to find that setting to turn off the feature mentioned in Orange Fox's post?
