I cannot copy a complete e-mail anymore and paste it in a new e-mail.

Hi, I am using the most recent version of Office 365 Outlook, and since I updated to the new layout, I am not able to copy a complete email anymore.

The only option I have is to copy and move the email to a certain number of preset folders. However, I mostly use this function to copy and add the email to an ongoing but different email thread. It seems that this not possible anymore or at least I don't how to do it.

Thanks for anyone's advice.

    True! I do the same. Maybe Microsoft will fix that next. Definitely still broken.

    Good news! After seeing 2 or 3 suggested "workarounds", (way, way around, a long, long way, IMHO) I found an even better one. When in Outlook, find the toggle switch at the top of the monitor screen where it says, "New Outlook." You should be able to switch it to "Off." Your Outlook should revert to the previous ("old") version. (There are some online videos that help if it doesn't immediately work.) After it reverts to the old Outlook, you should see a different toggle switch in the top right corner that says, "Try New Outlook." Don't turn it on; leave it alone - maybe forever.

    100% agreement here, it is absolutely silly that you can't simply copy and paste an entire email as a file into a new email. This needs fixing ASAP.

    Fully agree with Michael W_258 and others. The Old Outlook has this very intuitive function to copy and paste the entire email (even copy multiple existing emails) to a brand new email thread. Please revive this function in the New Outlook at your earliest.

    The proposed workarounds work but are very time consuming.

    Thank you ahead, Microsoft, for looking into this desperately wanted functionality since last Nov 2023.

    sorry but this is not workable - in practice this means new outlook is downgrade for business users
