I cannot copy a complete e-mail anymore and paste it in a new e-mail.

Hi, I am using the most recent version of Office 365 Outlook, and since I updated to the new layout, I am not able to copy a complete email anymore.

The only option I have is to copy and move the email to a certain number of preset folders. However, I mostly use this function to copy and add the email to an ongoing but different email thread. It seems that this not possible anymore or at least I don't how to do it.

Thanks for anyone's advice.

    HI!

I ran into the same situation. My workaround is to "move" it to the file I initially wanted it in and then "copy" it to the initial folder.

Unfortunately, this does not solve my problem.

In my case I cannot copy and paste the text from an email no matter whether I use the Ribbon, Ctrl-C, or right click --> 'Copy.'

No matter which method I use, I cannot seem to copy the text and paste it into any other text field (in Outlook or elsewhere), and instead I get whatever I last copied (in this case, a recipient).

I was able to get some text to copy if I select only a few words of a sentence, but it was inconsistent.

For reference: I was copying and pasting from an email in my work Outlook. The email included formatting such as colored, bolded, and differently-sized text. It also included a link to a poll. I could not find any pattern of text that consistently let me (or prevented) copy/paste features working as intended.

I already checked to confirm that Outlook.com had permission to access my clipboard. I have used this feature in the past (regularly).

My best guess is that it is some security feature ('feature') interfering with clipboard functionality.
