Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
While we appreciate work arounds.
Some of us need to be able to copy and paste full email messages into other programs that our audits require.

Hi, I am using the most recent version of Office 365 Outlook, and since I updated to the new layout, I am not able to copy a complete email anymore.
The only option I have is to copy and move the email to a certain number of preset folders. However, I mostly use this function to copy and add the email to an ongoing but different email thread. It seems that this not possible anymore or at least I don't how to do it.
Thanks for anyone's advice.

I agree. Pity if the feature is dropped. It ws so intutive to play with the email just like a file - copy, paste, attache, whatever you want.
It seems the case with another feature where uin we could copy the attachement just by clicking on the attachment and then choosing to copy it.
Copying entire email threads with a simple "right click" needs to be brought back as a critical function. We need to be able to send entire email threads as an attachment to a new email. The 3 "work arounds" you listed are not practical and will diminish productivity. Please fix it.
I cannot copy an email address and paste it into the to section to send someone an email. I have to paste it in the body of the email and then retype it.
Just found a solution after hitting the same problem, having only just started using the new outlook. If you minimise the outlook inbox and the new email so you have them side by side on the same screen you can then drag and drop the email from the inbox into the new email as an attachment. If you're using multiple screens, put the new email on a different screen to your inbox and drag and drop in the same way
