Users are experiencing an issue where the New Teams window keeps appearing unexpectedly while they're working on Outlook or other applications. This problem started on March 19, 2024, in New Zealand.
Despite attempting various solutions like clearing Teams caches, uninstalling and reinstalling the application, disabling Teams on startup, and restarting the device, the problem persists. Reinstalling Teams temporarily resolves the issue, but it reoccurs shortly afterward.
Could suggest any futher troubleshooting?

Before opening Outlook UI, Teams UI jumps on top of Outlook window/UI.
Any updates for a permanent fix on this?
we have a case running, MS is working on it.
Our solution for the moment is to revert DefaultIMApp back to "Lync" as we are still using skype for business for telephony. This stops teams from popping up and is a permanent fix.
We also still use Skype for Business. Are there many others with the problem also using SfB I wonder?
Also using SfB in our organization. Most of our users are impacted but not all despite same versions of desktop client.
