New Teams is keep popping up on screen while users is working on Outlook or other apps

Users are experiencing an issue where the New Teams window keeps appearing unexpectedly while they're working on Outlook or other applications. This problem started on March 19, 2024, in New Zealand.

Despite attempting various solutions like clearing Teams caches, uninstalling and reinstalling the application, disabling Teams on startup, and restarting the device, the problem persists. Reinstalling Teams temporarily resolves the issue, but it reoccurs shortly afterward.

Could suggest any futher troubleshooting?

    I have also been having this issue over the last few days, and like the OP I am in New Zealand. One additional symptom is that the Teams icon on the Taskbar shows a "new" badge, and flashes orange like it has a notification or popup dialogue box that needs my attention. Once I mouse focus on Teams there is no visible notification or popup that requires any action by me.

    Hi All,

    This is likely our case although it seems Microsoft skipped over where it opens on top of other applications while they are in use (easiest way to replicate is to open Word/Excel/Etc), I also had an app update yesterday and another earlier today - potentially the code change mentioned - neither of which have fixed.

    We are having the same problem. Even just switching between other open applications and the Teams App opens in front of them
