New Teams is keep popping up on screen while users is working on Outlook or other apps

By deleting the "DefaultIMApp" reg value (temporarily until the error is fixed), the problem can be circumvented (there will be no presence statuses, e.g. in Outlook until then). (Or you can also use the purely web interface ... or you can revert to classic Teams ... if MS allows it).

(Many of you, don't uninstall Teams because then MS won't have paid beta testers :) ... This error has already happened before ...)

We have same problem as well, when this will be fixed, it is annoying.

Get rid of Teams (i.e., Uninstall) until Microsoft can find a fix.

We are unable to find TM746712 in the admin console, and having read through this entire thread, it seems others are also unable to see it. Was it recalled?

This issue has affected many of the users in our environment. We have suggested to our users that they revert to Classic Teams, as the issue only affects New Teams. However, this is only a temporary solution with the official transition to New Teams date of April 1.

Edit: I have found that machines seem to be working fine now after signing out and back in as it has been rolling back the client version. See my reply a few posts down for details of that information.

We've tried uninstalling and re-installing, signing out and signing back in. So far none of that has held up over time (at least when we did this earlier in the week -- March 18/19). There are only two solutions we have found: Switching to Classic Teams as I have mentioned, or to disable IM Integrations with office by changing the registry value of UpAndRunning at HKCU\Software\IM Providers\MsTeams value from 2 to 0. But fair warning: This affects things like Outlook presence (not being able to see someone's Available/Away/Busy status when sending them an email or viewing their contact card, disabling the Call button or Start Chat button on the contact card) and probably more if you do more collaborative work in office documents (things where you might look at someone's contact card while you're both in the same Excel file, for example) in your environment. It's not a great workaround, but it does allow you to use New Teams, and is just as easily changed back to the value of 2 if this issue does get fixed.

If this isn't figured out before the transition to New Teams starts very soon here on April 1, Microsoft, you've got to push back the forced transition to New Teams!
