Users are experiencing an issue where the New Teams window keeps appearing unexpectedly while they're working on Outlook or other applications. This problem started on March 19, 2024, in New Zealand.

Despite attempting various solutions like clearing Teams caches, uninstalling and reinstalling the application, disabling Teams on startup, and restarting the device, the problem persists. Reinstalling Teams temporarily resolves the issue, but it reoccurs shortly afterward.

Could suggest any futher troubleshooting?

    Hi Julien,

Try fully updating Teams (in the top right next to the "..." if you see an "update" option click it and follow the directions). You may have to do this a few times until all concurrent updates complete.

If you use a wireless headset that connects with a USB Link adapter, try disconnecting the adapter to see if the issue persists (you can temporarily use your computer speakers/mic in the meantime). If it solves the problem, either connect the headset with bluetooth instead of its USB adapter (if the headset has this ability) or purchase/use a different headset that is bluetooth capable.

I can't promise either of these two things will fix it, but those are the two solutions that have worked for my users.

    Hi Inema,

I also would like to know where we can see what efforts Microsoft is taking in this issue as we also have the same problems with the New Microsoft Teams clients.

    Kind regards,

    Joris Geutjes
