My Hotmail account is missing many emails, including important ones that I know the senders have emailed me and emails from senders who successfully emailed me in the past.
I checked junk email folder - no missed emails are there.
I checked rule - I have not created any rules.
I checked sweep - I have not created any rules.
I checked forwarding - I have not enable it at all.
I checked junk mail setting - I did not block anybody unnecessarily; I don't know who will email me in the future so I can't put everybody in the safe list.
I checked storage - I have only used 46%.
I tried accessing the Hotmail account both through a browser on a computer and my phone (gmail app). It is the same - emails are not received. I cleared the cache of my devices already. It did not help.
I do not know how many more emails I have been missing or how to fix it. Can anybody help please? Thank you.

My storage wasn't full, but as part of trying to fix the problem I did deleted a lot to see if it would help, when I checked the storage afterwards it took hours for the drop in storage used to be reflected.
I was not receiving email to my hotmail account and tried every suggestion I could find.
nothing worked, then I went into rules and found that somehow it had changed to
send emails to a folder I have not looked at in years. Unmarked that and did a test
from another account and it went right to my hotmail inbox. Hope this helps
I've been having the exact same issue since April 27th! I've done the exact same things you have with no avail...and also receiving the usual junk mail but nothing in inbox. But yesterday got one from Walmart of all things. Still nothing else and it's so frustrating that I could cry!
I hope there's some help somewhere soon!

This is exactly the problem I am facing. If its a sender I have mailed before then no problem!
It gets weirder yet..
I also tested by sending myself an email by another address (not Hotmail) and it got refused by Hotmail. Either with or without attachments. BUT since it is also pop-ed to Hotmail it DOES send the Postmastersemmage that was sent to the senders address (it was popped right?) that the original message was refused (...)
It opens the inbox but can open the mail BUT not the contents... and can't open the folders apart from the INBOX.
Form the inbox stragely enough you can delete but not open deleted mails-folder

Endless waiting to send a message from Hotmail cot my own address whcih is popped to my Hotmail.
However: strangely enough I CAN download the attachments of previous messages (by clicking in the inbox on the attachment) but not open the message itself.. huh ?
