Outlook keeps logging me out every day (both on phone and laptop).

It keeps making me log back in (via the number confirmation system) which is annoying because I have to have my phone on hand at all times to confirm my laptop, and I have to actively check outlook every day just to make sure I haven't missed any emails due to outlook randomly logging me out. Is there a way to bypass this? It's getting very frustrating to deal with.

So what are we doing about this? Issue seems to be for many users of Microsoft. Productivity is down significantly within my business and even with 4 pages of complaints on here not a single response since 13th Feb 2024. Awful to be ignored in this way.

It's too bad, I've tried every solution on the internet but my outlook logs out always in 5 seconds, leaving me with absolutely no way to use my laptop to handle emails, and the old version of the mail app is disabled, so many problems with Microsoft!

    Hi all,

I have managed to fix this on my computer. Issue started upon latest update, here is my solution.

    1. I was running a VPN, not sure this is part of the issue but disable it temporarily anyway if you are running one.
    2. In the search bar, type 'mail'. Right click on the app and click 'app settings'.
    3. Click 'terminate'.
    4. Open the mail app, then click sign in or whatever it says. After disabling my VPN, hitting terminate and reopening the app, I clicked sign in and up popped a request for my login pin. I added the pin and now am not being logged out.

I think you have to trigger the password/pin request or it will continually log you out. Initially this request was not appearing and I was having this issue.

Hope this helps someone, peace and love.
