Outlook keeps logging me out every day (both on phone and laptop).

It keeps making me log back in (via the number confirmation system) which is annoying because I have to have my phone on hand at all times to confirm my laptop, and I have to actively check outlook every day just to make sure I haven't missed any emails due to outlook randomly logging me out. Is there a way to bypass this? It's getting very frustrating to deal with.

I'm pretty sure this problem started to happen when the new outlook came out and they started to slowly force it to people. I remember I didn't have any problems with this problem before that. So they Fd up something properly at that point and never fixed it. So just the usual microsucks stuff = let's force this or that to people even if it has problems and they don't want it.

My organization has been seeing this for almost a year now. My co-worker opened a ticket with Microsoft Support last Summer and they didn't find anything in the web browser logs that was causing this. This ticket went on for several months. Our tenant doesn't have any session timeouts configured in our Microsoft 365 tenant. We've done all the basic troubleshooting steps and nothing has fixed it. I even tried to check internally with other departments to confirm if there might be other policies causing this and confirmed we don't.

Funny enough, I checked our Service Health page today and saw EX1026017, mentioning "Affected users may receive the following error: "Need more information. To satisfy your organization's security policy, an additional step is required."

They state that the root cause is "An authentication misconfiguration on a portion of impacted infrastructure responsible for attaching Microsoft 365 data to email messages using the new Outlook for Windows is causing impact." While we haven't confirmed if the affected users are attaching files, most of them are reporting that this happens "when typing up an email." They get kicked out due to the message and the draft isn't saving.

Yes, while this does state "new" Outlook, I'm not convinced that it's just happening in the New Outlook, since both OWA and New Outlook are connecting directly to the Exchange Servers. The only difference I see between the two apps is that New Outlook is a Progressive Web App (correct me if I'm wrong). We have the new Outlook slider turned off for our users. Once this is reported as fixed by Microsoft, I'm curious if this will resolve the issues that everyone else is also reporting.

You must always shut down your thinkpad after using it.

Correction: I tried that approach as well and I still had to sign-in to my corporate email, teams, and my corporate microsoft account using authenticator. I am curious about your daily routine with thinkpad, whether there is something you do to avoid triggering the sign-out bug. I have exhausted a lot of methods. I tried signing out of my corporate account at the end of the day. I tried shutting down my corporate laptop at the end of the day. I tried refreshing "global protect" to extend my token 12 hours. And, as mentioned above, I reached out to corporate IT to resolve the issue for me and they thought it was tied to the authenticator app on my phone. Would you perhaps share your daily routine with me?

I am also having this issue but only on my Apple Products. I am not having any issues with my Windows 10 Thinkpad.
