New Outlook with multiple accounts

Hi,

In the new outlook, I have 6 email accounts. They all transferred in with the transition just fine. However, there does not appear to be a way to know which email accounts have new mail in them other than clicking on each account. And to add injury to insult, when you click on an account, you get another drop down menu.

I am in windows 11 and the 365 subscription version of outlook.

I absolutely need to see at a glance which accounts have new email in them on the main account screen. When an account does have new email, I need to be able to click on that email and have the inbox open with one click and not give me another menu to click through.,

Without these features you are adding a ridiculous amount of time to what should be a two second glance to check emails.

These are not wants, they are absolute needs.

Can anyone help? Or is time to find a new app?

Any help appreciated.

    They have this function for MAC and I believe the Outlook app. This is an issue so many people are requesting and continue to ask. I would say if we get more people to make a recommendation versus these forums it could help. You can do this by going to help and click feedback and submit a suggestion. I think if they get an overwhelming suggestion like this it could push them to update.

    I figured this out! First of all, you need to have your accounts associated with one another. What I mean by this is click the settings cog next to the minimize window button in the top right corner.

    Next, you should be able to view all accounts associated with one another. If you haven't added all the email addresses that you want viewed, everything else after this will presumably not work. Once you have the emails all associated with the same outlook account, exit that settings screen.

    Now direct your attention to the pane just to the right of the word/excel/powerpoint logos, where your main email address is listed along with the junk/drafts/sent etc folders. At the bottom (and I know this sounds redundant) you will see an 'Add Account' button in blue. This button works differently than what you did in your settings window, I promise.

    In this window, you will be able to pull from the pool of mutually associated emails that you established in that settings window earlier. At this point, you're using that button to simply add other emails from that pool into your main view on outlook.

    For anyone who is using eM client, please look up "eM client malicious" and read the first view articles listed in a google search. You're welcome.

    Nonetheless it would be nice to see this feature coming in the future.

    Thank you for the suggestion. I’m looking at emClient now. Never even thought about searching for another email app until this reference.

    Hi Chris,

    Tried those exact solutions. Clunky and the 'unified search' is SUPER slow to populate every time it's selected. It is an option but I found it unworkable.

    Ultimately ditching Outlook for em Client had been a game changer - however it was NOT my intention or desire to so, Microsoft drove me to by IGNORING years of customers asking for what every other provider offers.
