Hi,
In the new outlook, I have 6 email accounts. They all transferred in with the transition just fine. However, there does not appear to be a way to know which email accounts have new mail in them other than clicking on each account. And to add injury to insult, when you click on an account, you get another drop down menu.
I am in windows 11 and the 365 subscription version of outlook.
I absolutely need to see at a glance which accounts have new email in them on the main account screen. When an account does have new email, I need to be able to click on that email and have the inbox open with one click and not give me another menu to click through.,
Without these features you are adding a ridiculous amount of time to what should be a two second glance to check emails.
These are not wants, they are absolute needs.
Can anyone help? Or is time to find a new app?

Yes, I've seen quite a few such "solutions" being posted, but they don't recognise what the objective is i.e. one unified inbox.
I have been following this thread for a year or so now, and have given up on Outlook on Windows (still use it on Android), and have migrated to the free Spark for Windows email app, which works well, has a unified inbox, syncs perfectly with Gmail Calendar. It also has options like send later etc, plus a premium option if required featuring various AI enhancements etc for circa $60 annually.
That is not what people are trying to do. That brings multiple accounts into view but each of them has a separate Inbox, Junk Email, Drafts, etc. What is wanted is a single mailbox that combines all email accounts so that there is just one view with one Inbox, one Junk Email, one Drafts, etc. This type of feature already exists in the Android Outlook App (and other apps as indicated by replies here).
You assume MS cares about our suggestions; that's a big stretch.
This year my MSAP will be 75% more expensive, and still can't have one inbox for all Outlook accounts, on a Windows machine.
Live with it.
Make sure all accounts are within the 'accounts' section in the settings pop up menu (via the cog top right).
Once you have all desired accounts mutually associated, find the bottom of your inbox/drafts/sent list over on the left. Although it sounds redundant, click the blue 'Add Account' button.
That should bring your other emails into your main view
