New Outlook with multiple accounts

Hi,

In the new outlook, I have 6 email accounts. They all transferred in with the transition just fine. However, there does not appear to be a way to know which email accounts have new mail in them other than clicking on each account. And to add injury to insult, when you click on an account, you get another drop down menu.

I am in windows 11 and the 365 subscription version of outlook.

I absolutely need to see at a glance which accounts have new email in them on the main account screen. When an account does have new email, I need to be able to click on that email and have the inbox open with one click and not give me another menu to click through.,

Without these features you are adding a ridiculous amount of time to what should be a two second glance to check emails.

These are not wants, they are absolute needs.

Can anyone help? Or is time to find a new app?

    I am having the same issue. On the "Old Outlook" desktop client, there is simply a section called "all accounts" where I can see the combined inboxes. It's becoming very frustrating having Outlook constantly switching to "New Outlook" without this functionality. As others have mentioned, I won't be able to use Outlook on desktop without this feature.

    If its under the same organization which is why I was here its an easy solution, why Microsoft didn't answer the question IDK. All you have to do is go to the navigation pane right click on folders add shared folder or mailbox enter the mailbox you have rights to and its now there. Hope this helps everyone.

    Microsoft, please remove this nonsense answer. It wastes people's time and is of negative value. The question is about the 'proper' Outlook client, as supplied with your desktop Office suite, running in Windows. The answer is about Outlook on Android. The info here is completely wrong.

    Blue mail covers all the basics and make installation on other devices fairly automatic. the only problem i find is that it takes much longer to load up on windows 10 than old outlook or on android. for microsoft to semi force switching to a "new" crippled version of a good and functional existing app (old outlook) is unconscionable.

    I like thunderbird, but as I have multiple email accounts and multiple devices I have discovered and been trying out Blue Mail - it is available for Windows, Mac, and Android. So far so good :-)
