New Outlook with multiple accounts

Hi,

In the new outlook, I have 6 email accounts. They all transferred in with the transition just fine. However, there does not appear to be a way to know which email accounts have new mail in them other than clicking on each account. And to add injury to insult, when you click on an account, you get another drop down menu.

I am in windows 11 and the 365 subscription version of outlook.

I absolutely need to see at a glance which accounts have new email in them on the main account screen. When an account does have new email, I need to be able to click on that email and have the inbox open with one click and not give me another menu to click through.,

Without these features you are adding a ridiculous amount of time to what should be a two second glance to check emails.

These are not wants, they are absolute needs.

Can anyone help? Or is time to find a new app?

Any help appreciated.

    You don't know what you're talking about. Yes, Microsoft keeps creating new products and naming them the same as the old ones and the old one becomes the new one and the new one becomes the old one. It's all very confusing. They did this with 365 also. Microsoft is great for confusing the h out of everyone. It so difficult to try and find an email in their program. Mailbird did a very good job - had no problem implementing a unified inbox. I spend all day looking for emails. There isn't even a universal search! Archaic and inefficient as all else.

    Mailbird, bluemail have been suggested... Any comments? And by the way I kept switching from new outlook to the mail for Windows every time giving a comment about this and after three weeks or 5 'they' basically left me alone and I only have the old outlook opening every time now go figure I guess I can ride it until the end of December.. ? LOL

    I am using Microsoft Teams quite extensively, an one of the nice features is that every Team has its own dedicated email address created automatically.

    However, the Inboxes for these addresses are all located under the "Groups" header in Outlook, and I always have to scroll all the way down to see if there are any new messages in any group.

    How easy would it be to have a unified inbox, in which all messages received in inboxes for different Office 365 groups appear.

    Why is this so hard to program in Outlook, when apparently this is already possible in virtually all other email software?

    This is really a big shortcoming of Outlook in Windows.

    Ha! Switched to old Outlook, told it that I did so because it didn't have a unified inbox, and this was presented to me. So sad.
