Hi,
In the new outlook, I have 6 email accounts. They all transferred in with the transition just fine. However, there does not appear to be a way to know which email accounts have new mail in them other than clicking on each account. And to add injury to insult, when you click on an account, you get another drop down menu.
I am in windows 11 and the 365 subscription version of outlook.
I absolutely need to see at a glance which accounts have new email in them on the main account screen. When an account does have new email, I need to be able to click on that email and have the inbox open with one click and not give me another menu to click through.,
Without these features you are adding a ridiculous amount of time to what should be a two second glance to check emails.
These are not wants, they are absolute needs.
Can anyone help? Or is time to find a new app?

Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management

It is really funny. I have been using Thunderbird for 15 years.
Today I wanted to migrate to Outllook. Spent 4 hours transferring folders and creating accounts to realize, that it does not do UNIFIED FOLDERS and have to go back to Thunderbird
What????
In Thunderbird I use one simple click to do that. This is ridiculous
That Microsoft would be so blind as to NOT include the capability to unify multiple email accounts just didn't seem possible at first and I spent hours thinking 'it must be me...there surely must be a way to do this." THANK YOU! to all of you in the Community for your replies and sharing your common experience. So SAD and DISAPPOINTING to think Microsoft a) wouldn't include this capability and b) that they wouldn't have fixed it by now knowing all of the complaints about it. Or...as we should probably expect...they'll 'fix it', but only for an 'upgraded version' that will, of course, cost extra!! Thanks, again, everyone!

The answer is NO. No, you can't do this on Outlook. Yes, this is a feature many people want. Yes, you can do this under iOS. You can't do this under Outlook because all our developers are busy cramming AI **** that nobody wants into all of our apps.
So after a lot of searching I decided to run the Android version of outlook on windows. The official windows support for apk files has sunseted, so you'll need to use an emulater like BlueStacksafter that use these instructions to install a full android 11 instance (by default on BlueStacks custom roms google won't let you install outlook).
Works great with the full mobile unified inbox, but you can't use PC shortcuts; you need to swipe with your mouse to archive and stuff.
Major downside is you're emulating and entire instance of android 11 using ram/cpu all sorts of system resources to run one app that's missing a lot of desktop outlook features just so you can get a unified mailbox.
I think it would be far more efficient on system resources to just bite it and use a different email client. :/
BUT, if you're married to using outlook, or you have 6 inboxes and NEED the unified, and you don't mind the fuss, this works.
