New Outlook with multiple accounts

Hi,

In the new outlook, I have 6 email accounts. They all transferred in with the transition just fine. However, there does not appear to be a way to know which email accounts have new mail in them other than clicking on each account. And to add injury to insult, when you click on an account, you get another drop down menu.

I am in windows 11 and the 365 subscription version of outlook.

I absolutely need to see at a glance which accounts have new email in them on the main account screen. When an account does have new email, I need to be able to click on that email and have the inbox open with one click and not give me another menu to click through.,

Without these features you are adding a ridiculous amount of time to what should be a two second glance to check emails.

These are not wants, they are absolute needs.

Can anyone help? Or is time to find a new app?

Any help appreciated.

My bad! Actually it is not working. I realized that I had set up automatic email forwarding from my other accounts to my default email account in Outlook.

Another thing I noticed is that if you have only one Inbox in Favorites, it will just show as Inbox. That's why I thought it was a unified Inbox. Once I added other Inboxes to Favorites, they show up as Inbox (acct1), Inbox (acct2), etc.

Bummer! We definitely need this feature.

Microsoft needs to fix their NEW Outlook. Even when you open an email to send and realize you're on the wrong acct after you've typed in your message and attached a doc....it makes you do it all over again!!!!

Why do t the just use the outlook mobile app on a PC? We'd all be so much happier.

Thank you for replying. That is interesting.

Does New Outllook automatically adopts all your accounts and data? Mine doesnt, it starts as fresh and it says it is not bale not transfer data. Which is ridiculous as well

I just switched to New Outlook my computer and I got the unified Inbox by default when it started up. However, when I switched to New Outlook on my wife's computer, all her accounts show as separate Inboxes. I couldn't figure out why it worked for me and not for her. So I started googling and ended up on this webpage. All I can say is there has to be a way to do it as it is working on my computer (it is a Windows computer, not Mac).
